HOW I *PLAN* TO STAY SANE DURING COVID-19
Sh*t's about to get real
Routine. It's the only way I can stay sane, organized and motivated. But it can be really hard when you're literally stuck at home with not even the slightest relief. I just want to make a clear distinction, I'm not referring to working from home, because working from home can, and in my experience, is, pretty awesome. Being in isolation and trying to work and live a 'normal' life, is really freeking hard. So, I'm going to rely on my daily routine to get me through!
Let's start with my morning routine...
As soon as I wake up, I'll be honest, I check my emails and IG. I have to. I work with people all over the world from NY, Tel Aviv, London and have family and friends in Australia so while it's not really recommended, I just have to.
I then drink a huge glass of water. I got these awesome silicone straws in my Fab Fit Fun box and I’m obsessed! I feel like I drink way more water when I have a straw. I usually use my water bottle with rose quartz crystals. Gives me the right energy of a morning. Linked below.
If I can, I'll do a workout. I like to exercise first thing in the morning. It energizes me once I'm done, it makes it much harder to put it off at night! That's when I prefer to walk with the pup or do something more calming, to get me ready for bed and a good sleep, which is vital for brain function and weight management. More on that soon too!
I then love to have my morning coffee. I either take it black, or as an iced later with vanilla macadamia milk. I prefer my iced coffee in the summertime but I can honestly drink it whenever.
After a shower, I do my morning skincare routine. It’s long but I have it down pat! So I breeze through it. I've got a whole blog post coming on that next!
I'll work for a bit but I’m starting to get really hungry around 9 or 10am. I’ll either make some quick eggs or have a healthy muffin. I have a great recipe for chia seed pudding and in winter, I’ll do oats with canned peaches or mango. Delish! In summertime especially, I like to have my mango almond smoothie. It tastes amazing and is full of protein and low sugar. I also love a green smoothie that’s not too overpowering. I’ll share all my recipes soon on the blog!
Then it's back to work, work, work. I work a lot. I have to and I want to and like to.
In the evening, it's all about a nice, healthy, nutritious dinner, time to unwind and take in some self-care.
I have a my whole day planned out now! Hope my little sense of routine inspires you to get yours going too! Let me know what I'm missing!
